About the role
We’re seeking a proactive, committed, and detail-driven Administrative Support Officer to become a key part of our Council’s dynamic in-house Legal team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality operational support — working with IT systems, general admin, client liaison, overseeing payment processes, tracking and reporting on income and expenditure, and shaping efficient working practices that evolve with the needs of our service.
About the team
You’ll join a dedicated and collaborative Business Support team that plays a vital role in enabling Legal Services to deliver outstanding support to our clients. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of innovation, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving—where every team member contributes to driving service excellence.
You will work with this team generally with a focus on the work done by the Disrepair legal team, which will consist of dealing with payment requests, processing letters of claim, admin support to caseworkers and fee-earners, liaising with admins across the teams, managing, internal client cases, cases within the legal team as well as insourced cases and liaising with external firms regarding outsourced cases.
About you
You are an organised individual who enjoys managing client records and payments, updating systems and, striving for efficiencies and improvements while prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. Your attention to detail ensures accurate data entry and record keeping, and you proactively address issues as they arise.
