About Haringey
Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.
Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.
About the role
Join our Housing Applications Team as an Applications Support Officer and play a key role in supporting and enhancing core business applications within the Digital & Change directorate. You will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement to ensure housing teams and residents benefit from reliable, user‑friendly systems.
In this role, you will focus on NEC Housing and Total Mobile, logging and resolving incidents, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance. You will collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to deliver secure, efficient systems, while contributing to service improvement initiatives and testing new features. Your work will directly support vital housing services and make a tangible difference to residents across the borough
About the team
The Housing Applications Team, part of the wider Digital & Change directorate, plays a crucial role in supporting housing services across Haringey Council. The team maintains and enhances the digital systems that underpin key housing operations, including repairs, allocations, rents, and tenancy management.
Working closely with service managers, suppliers, and digital colleagues, the team delivers responsive support, system improvements, and project delivery. Collaborative and forward‑thinking, they value knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and user‑focused service delivery. Currently, the team is leading strategic projects and enhancements to Total Mobile and NEC Housing, ensuring digital solutions effectively support the Council’s housing priorities.
About you
You thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment and enjoy solving problems that make a real difference to service delivery. Resilient and adaptable, you can stay focused under pressure while managing competing priorities effectively.
Ideally, you’ll bring housing knowledge and experience supporting housing services or systems, along with a good understanding of front‑end application interfaces. You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you should feel confident navigating systems and identifying usability issues. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with colleagues across services, and a proactive, curious mindset will help you take initiative and drive improvements. Organised and detail‑focused, you’ll be committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a willingness to learn and grow. This is a chance to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking team where your work will directly shape digital solutions that improve lives across Haringey.
